I have been saying all along that ethanol is a scam. Being a mechanic I know firsthand that ethanol reduces vehicle performance, reduces fuel economy, burns no cleaner and costs more to produce than the raw gasoline it is being mixed with.
The diversion of foodstuffs, primarily corn here in America, to the production of ethanol has caused a shortage in the food supply, raising prices of meats, dairy, breads, cereals, et al.

Even with the growing opposition to ethanol, especially the corn based ethanol, more plants continue to be built without delay. Our govt is deaf.
