FOODday Tasting Panel: canned tomatoes

Food – In our blind tasting we cracked into a dozen cans, finding an assortment of colors, sizes, textures and aromas. The ideal whole peeled canned tomatoes would be plump but not too firm or mushy; ripe, with a good balance of acidity and sweetness; and offer just a hint of summery tomato appeal.
