From the recipe intro: "Lately, I feel a lot like Rosemarie. Brandon and I always eat fairly simply, a bowl of chickpea salad here, some slivered fennel there, but in recent days, especially, I want things with as little fuss as possible. I think of it as a kind of spring cleaning. I'm sweeping away all the clutter and fiddle, making room at the table for summer."

If those are dried lentils they have to be soaked overnight and will take longer than 15 minutes to make.

    I love lentils.

I made an awesome lentil hoummous the other day, having no chick peas in the house. They really are SO versatile.

foo-foo food? LMAO!! Why do there have to be titles for food people eat? Lentils, chick peas and other beans and legumes are superb things for the human body. They provide a good source of fiber and natural protein, are low in fat and calories and beneficial to the heart and other body systems.

Seriously? This is front page news? A recipe? Good grief! Once again, I have to say, I abhor the new and "improved" Netscape!!!
